that was a good September!
hello all i hope things are going good for you! i wanted to shoot out a post so that you can be up to date with what we have been up to. this has been a very good month for Younglife. josh our area director and myself have been meeting with G.R.I.P. " gang reduction intervention program" it is a law enforcement board with 4 district attorneys and 8 sheriff officers and many other state programs. we are on board as the " faith based" organization. in the meeting they expressed a need to have an adult presence at 2 bus stops for the jr. high school. the problem was that the gangs were jumping kids into the gang at the bus stops in the mornings because of the lack of adults that where there and it also served as a good venue to show all the kids that the child being jumped in is now part of the gang. so with all that said. when we heard that was a need we jumped at the chance to hang at the bus stops. so i have been waking up pretty much every morning at 6:30 sometimes with other leaders or just my self. we are very happy to be doing this because not only do we get to help grip but also we get to meet kids! also we just got back from a leadership weekend down at one of our younglife camps in san diego. needless to say god is doing some awesome stuff! i brought 4 Junior leaders and I'm so so proud of them. 2 of the leaders are from our high school club and are at the place where they want to start serving god and pouring into other kids younger then them. if you could please pray for them . their names are kyle and austin.im so exited to see god use these boys this year in wyldlife, they just have the best hearts! i will keep you up to date on how their walk is going and all the awesome stuff god is doing. thanks for being a part of this ministry! please be praying for us as wee are praying for you and for this community that so desperately needs Jesus
