what happened to october?
i don't know about you guys but i don't even remember October it went by so fast! i hope your doing good. just a quick up date for Nov. like i told you in the previous blog entry we have been very busy! the work we are doing in San Juan is going really well. i also have a praise report, i recently got a job at REI it is an outdoor retailer. well long story short REI has a used gear sale with all of the gear that gets returned every year. this year at the end of the sale whatever is left they are giving to young life in hopes to build a gear bank so we can have quality gear like boots tents sleeping bags to take our youth camping outdoors and get them closer to the creation god has blessed us with. also with this sale there are tons of clothes and shoes, so we can pass out clothes to the underprivileged in our area . we are so exited for this opportunity to give and share and what a blessing that REI is stepping up like this! so keep praying for our leaders and our kids as i am praying for you!

that was a good September!
hello all i hope things are going good for you! i wanted to shoot out a post so that you can be up to date with what we have been up to. this has been a very good month for Younglife. josh our area director and myself have been meeting with G.R.I.P. " gang reduction intervention program" it is a law enforcement board with 4 district attorneys and 8 sheriff officers and many other state programs. we are on board as the " faith based" organization. in the meeting they expressed a need to have an adult presence at 2 bus stops for the jr. high school. the problem was that the gangs were jumping kids into the gang at the bus stops in the mornings because of the lack of adults that where there and it also served as a good venue to show all the kids that the child being jumped in is now part of the gang. so with all that said. when we heard that was a need we jumped at the chance to hang at the bus stops. so i have been waking up pretty much every morning at 6:30 sometimes with other leaders or just my self. we are very happy to be doing this because not only do we get to help grip but also we get to meet kids! also we just got back from a leadership weekend down at one of our younglife camps in san diego. needless to say god is doing some awesome stuff! i brought 4 Junior leaders and I'm so so proud of them. 2 of the leaders are from our high school club and are at the place where they want to start serving god and pouring into other kids younger then them. if you could please pray for them . their names are kyle and austin.im so exited to see god use these boys this year in wyldlife, they just have the best hearts! i will keep you up to date on how their walk is going and all the awesome stuff god is doing. thanks for being a part of this ministry! please be praying for us as wee are praying for you and for this community that so desperately needs Jesus

Update
Greetings all! I pray everything is going well for you. It's been a while since my last blog. Camp was so very amazing. Our kids are growing in so many ways it's so exiting. We had close to 10 kids come to know Christ in a real way for the first time in their lives! Praise god for that! Also I have 4 high school boys and 2 girls that are going to be seniors this year that are going to be junior leaders for wildlife san Juan! These kids are actively seeking Jesus and there personal walk with him and also will be walking through the young life leader hand book so that they grow in Christ and as a leader! So with all that said it's safe to say god is doing amazing things. I myself have been gone pretty much for the past 2 months serving at camps as staff and also as a leader with our kids. Please be praying for leaders , open doors with the community , Marco forester middle school , support finical and prayer and also many other ways to support Please fill free to contact me for any reason any time I'm here for you. Thank you for being part of this ministry and all that you do!

Camp
Hey everyone I hope things are good for all of you. Just sending a lil update. We are on the bus right now on our way to woodleaf up near Sacramento. We have 25 high schoolers and 5 of us leaders. It has been a rough year for our kids with the loss of their good friend due to a drug overdose. With that said, God is going to do amazing things this week, as He always does. But I do feel a weight on my heart unlike any other year. I feel God is going to truly change lives and relationships in an amazing way. So, please please pray for each of us as leaders and for each one of the kids.
The leaders are Rachel, Lauren, Josh, Jake, and myself Dustin. The kids are.
